CATEX 2019 saw thousands of visitors from the foodservice, hospitality, catering and on-trade sectors, descend on the RDS, Simmonscourt, making it the biggest turnout for the exhibition to date. With footfall up by almost 10%, exhibitors reporting that substantial business was done and overwhelming positive feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike, CATEX 2019 really did serve up a show that will benefit all of those involved in the months and years ahead.
Sustainability, Brexit and increased public appreciation for design are key issues impacting on Ireland’s interiors industry, according to survey findings released today (28.03.19) to coincide with the launch of house 2019. The survey was completed by members of the Interiors Association, a support network for the interior architecture and design communities.

President of Ireland Michael D Higgins and Mrs Sabina Higgins visited the inaugural Ireland Skills Live at RDS Simmonscourt today. The President and his wife spent did an extensive walking tour of the arena or over 90 minutes, stopping to speak with many competitors, who were all happy to break off the hard work as they were finishing up their final tests in the National Skills Finals this afternoon.
