SCAE operated from two locations at Gulfood. Firstly the Coffee Stage where the SCAE Education team delivered a series of 45 minutes seminars to promote their new three-tiered Coffee Diploma System and secondly, the SCAE brew bar (pictured above) where World class baristas brewed and offered tastings of speciality coffees from origin from all over the world.
Gulfood is one of the largest food service, hospitality and retail events for the food and beverage industry in the world with over 20,000 brands, 4,500 exhibitors and a wide range of show features. The show which has been running for 19 years takes place annually in February. SCAE was formed in 1998 with the core objective of improving the quality of coffee in producing and consuming countries and the current association mission is “inspiring excellence in the coffee community through innovation, research, education and communication”, says executive director David Veal. The rational for partnering with the organisers of Gulfood is to continue to allow more and more people to experience coffee excellence first hand by demonstrations and of course tastings performed by some of the most talented Baristas in the world.
